A Day Out

Took a trip up to Lititz, PA late yesterday with my sweet hubby.
It was so great just to spend the day with him.  I did some shopping and came home with
this treasure.....a very primitive gray green bench with a lift top lid for tons of storage.
I had seen this on my last trip to Lititz and was thrilled to see it was still there.
Need to get it decorated for Christmas.

Loving the color and the patina!

I treated my sweetie
to dinner at JoBoy's....they have THE BEST burgers.
And a wonderful Porter.

I love visiting this wonderful little town and visiting with local friends.
Always good to see Susan and Cindy at Day's Gone By Creations.

The street and shops were all lit up and decorated.

Still smiling from a great day out with my best friend and love.

Needlework Heaven

Always so behind on my blog posts.....but as I mentioned a few posts ago, while friends and I were out in Ohio we took a side trip to a Cross Stitch shop in Vermilion, Ohio.  Boy, was it worth it.....  Clare's Stitching Post is an amazing shop.

I could not believe the linen she had.
Every color and count your heart and hands could desire....

and I love linen.....can you tell...lol

All the latest and greatest charts and even some oldies but goodies.

This is one one of the floss wall...Oh My!

We had such fun adding to our stash and getting time to chat with Clare.
She was so very sweet and helpful.  I do hope we get back to see her and her sweet doggie Max.

Fell a little behind in blogging again, but with coffee in hand this morning....

As you can see I was still in a "Fall" mood when creating these and not thinking
about Christmas yet....LOL

"Bittersweet Ditty Bag"

"Bittersweet Pincushion"

I've had so much fun creating these this month and I hope if you have time
you'll stop by the website to see everyone's creations.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend!

From Our Hands Show 2015

Friends and I traveled to the From Our Hands Show in Peninsula Ohio.
What an adorable little town.
I didn't get many pictures, but we all had a wonderful time and each of us came
home with some beautiful handmades.
I was after a hanging pinkeep by Primitives Past and was lucky enough to get this one.

It was cold and windy waiting in line for the show to open.  Our little bunch are die hards and
we got there an hour before to be second in line.

Here is the Welcome sign in the entrance.

Got to meet up with some great friends that live near by.  It was wonderful to see them and one of the highlights of the trip.  We had some yummy food and lots of catching up at Fisher's Cafe & Pub, just down the road from the show.  These peeps are like family to me.

We also went to a wonderful needlework shop and I'll post some pics of that later.
Happy day all:)

Fox Run

I finished my punchneedle project last night.  It got easier the more I punched.  To the point where I just couldn't put it down....lol
I'm sure with practice I will improve, but for only my 3rd time punching, I'm happy with it.

I'm not sure of the finish...it's just pinned on the basket for right now.

I also have a wooden hornbook I could attach it to...I have to think on it.

Hope you all had a happy Wednesday.

Not sure what I was thinking......

For whatever reason, I have had a hankering for some punching...don't ask me why....lol
It has been a year since I've punched and it's tough for me to get back into, but I like to finish what I start....

I'm making this up as I go along.  Looked at some pictures of foxes on Pinterest, so I could
get an idea for his coloring.

I'll keep you posted on the finish, but hoping to have this all done by the 20th for my

Until then...Happy Creating:)
